GETTING STARTED WORKING FROM HOME

For many, the idea of working from home doesn’t ever cross their mind, let alone starting a career in freelance.

More and more jobs have taken the digital route in today’s world, making the work-from-home dream 100% possible.

When the idea of working for myself fell into my lap, I was terrified.

I had a huge decision to make, step out into the unknown, or remain the same. I don’t know about you, but the idea of remaining in limbo terrified me more than teetering on the precipice of the unknown.

So I jumped; I started my freelance journey working from home about three years ago and haven’t looked back.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.”

– Steve Jobs

“If working remotely is such a great idea, why isn’t everyone doing it? I think it’s because we’ve been bred on the idea that work happens from 9 to 5, in offices and cubicles. It’s no wonder that most who are employed inside that model haven’t considered other options, or resist the idea that it could be any different. But it can.”
